Who is it for?
This program is for eligible property owners with a City of Ottawa property-tax account. It is financing, not a general cash rebate.
Current published loan terms.
The published first-loan minimum is $10,000. The maximum is the lower of $125,000 or 10% of the property’s assessed value. The program confirms the amount available for an individual property.
Apply before the work begins.
Start with the Better Homes Ottawa application. The program includes an energy assessment, quotes and a funding request before approved work is completed.
After the work, a follow-up assessment and completion documents are required.
Heat-pump incentive amount: confirm before relying on it.
The Better Homes Ottawa webpage and its linked heat-pump form currently show different incentive amounts. We are not guessing which amount applies. Ask the program to confirm the current heat-pump incentive for your project.
The published loan terms shown above are separate from this incentive question.
Outside the City of Ottawa?
This municipal financing program does not apply across Ontario. Use the Ontario program finder to check province-wide options.
REAL INSTALLATIONS
